Join us in developing a transportation system that benefits your community — and you.

Zagster and the City of Rochester have partnered to launch bike sharing in Spring 2017 for downtown and beyond.

The first implementation phase will place stations throughout downtown, in surrounding neighborhoods, along Rochester’s trail system, and near major institutions and employment centers throughout Rochester.

Growth Plan:

Phase 1: 250 bikes
Phase 2: 350 bikes
Phase 3: 500 bikes

Why does Rochester need a bike share?

Bike sharing is a valuable transportation service that moves people around while moving communities forward. With low-cost options including an hourly pass or an annual membership, residents and visitors can easily pick up a bike at one station and drop it off at another station in the city’s network.

As an on-demand, sustainable, and healthy mode of transit, bike sharing complements your city’s existing public transportation networks to enhance mobility, wellness, economic development and quality of life.

Bike sharing helps build strong communities — and most successful bike shares are the result of strong community efforts.

Why sponsor bike sharing in Rochester?

“If your sponsorship desire is to get eyeballs, you get to them. If your sponsorship desire is to make a place more livable, it does that.

It hits so many different levels. For the cost, it’s a very reasonable investment.”
— Visit Hamilton County President & CEO Brenda Myers

Strengthen the Local economy

Bike sharing introduces people to new businesses, and encourages spending. Each ride on Minneapolis' bike share added more than $7 to the local economy, according to the Earth Policy Institute.

Boost your brand

Sponsorship associates your business or organization with a positive community development and improves your relationship with residents and visitors.

Bike sharing fosters stronger civic ties while making cities more attractive places to live, work, and visit.

In municipal markets, an average Zagster bike generates 250,000+ impressions per year.

People want to do business with companies that they like and that they feel care about them. This is a way for companies to show that they care about the community.
— Executive Director of the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority Julie Townsend (Lakeland, FL)
