New amenity gives tenants access to bikes on demand for fun, errands and exercise
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (May 6, 2015) Zagster, the leading provider of private and public-private bike sharing systems, today announced it has partnered with NAI Hiffman, a suburban property management and brokerage firm, to offer bike sharing at Naperville Woods Office Center, a two-building asset located on a 31-acre campus in Naperville, Illinois. Employees who work on the campus can reserve and ride comfortable, cruiser bikes, allowing them a healthy, convenient and fun way to run errands, grab lunch, attend meetings or just plain exercise.
“Zagster gives tenants a simple, car-free way to explore the restaurants, shops and the Herrick Woods Forest Preserves that surround the offices," said Timothy Ericson, co-founder and CEO of Zagster. “With Zagster, people have a healthy, cost-effective and fun way to get around.”
Initially, a total of 12 bikes will be available on-demand, free of charge, at the Naperville Woods Office Center for up to a 24-hour period. Riders can join by downloading the Zagster Mobile App, available for iPhone and Android, or online at zagster.com/napervillewoods. To use the Mobile App, riders simply enter the unique ID of the bike they wish to use and an access code for the lock box is provided. Alternatively, they can text the bike ID and receive the code in return. Riders can use the code throughout the duration of their rental to lock and unlock the bike anywhere along their trip. Once the bike is returned to a Zagster location, the touch of a button ends the rental and releases the bike for the next rider.
“Having access to a bike makes for a healthy option to get around the campus or into the surrounding areas -- offering employees a great way to get some exercise, run an errand or simply enjoy the pleasure of a ride," said Jennifer Lewand, Property Assistant at NAI Hiffman. “Zagster made it a snap to get the service up and running -- we're looking forward to seeing their bikes all around."
Naperville Woods Office Center consists of two, Class A buildings comprised of 487,000 SF of office space on a 31-acre office park and is situated in an ideal location adjacent to the I-88 interchange, near several hotels and quality restaurants. The property includes a mix of healthy options for people who work on site including a fitness center and is adjacent to the Herrick Woods Forest Preserves. The campus landscaping is extensive with two large ponds, tree lined boulevards and exterior entry planters.
